Our school district was fortunate enough to welcome Nicola Campbell, Interior Salish and Metis Author of several books including Shi-shi-etko, Shinchi's Canoe, Grandpa's Girls and A Day With Yaya. Nicola provided readings in several schools and participated in our Indigenous Symposium. Nicola is an accomplished writer who has published children's fiction and poetry and was the recipient of the TD Canadian Children's Literature Award.
