Our transitions inquiry is well underway again at CHSS. In this, our third year of the feast, and fourth year of the Inquiry project with NOIIE, we are consistently adding layers of complexity and deepening our learning through the practice of the “learning feast”. Each year we welcome our Grade 8 students from the Middle School to a feast that is hosted by the students and staff at CHSS. In doing this, we are honoring Ts’msyen territory, welcoming our students into their new community, strengthening cultural protocols and fostering strong relationships. Furthermore, our project was featured on a study based on transitions inquiries, and a short film was created to document the experience for us, and others involved in the project, seen below:
Additionally, a research document was also created to deepen learning around this important topic, as seen on the below poster, which outlines that the document is available both online and in print.
