Aboriginal Role Model Charlie Carlick Sharing his experience of Residential School with BC First Nations Studies class at CHSS
Aboriginal Role Model Charlie Carlick was invited to lead the learning in the BC First Nations Studies classes at CHSS in their exploration on the impacts of Residential Schools. Charlie shared his personal experience and skillfully developed analogies to allow students to not only listen but to feel the impact of Residential Schools. Charlie facilitated discussion that allowed students to freely share their feelings and develop an understanding of what it takes to become part of the process of Truth and Reconciliation.
