As part of the course curriculum, CHSS Aboriginal Entrepreneurship students were to be exposed to a local business model by visiting a local business. Instead of everyone cramming into an office we decided to go outside and see what http://outercoast.ca/, a local outdoor adventure business had to offer to its customers.
As we ascended up the mountain April and Chris, the founders and operators of Outer Coast talked us through the start up and operation as well as the motivation behind their small business. They emphasized their love for the outdoors and Chris credited that love to growing up on Ts'msyen territory and learning from his parents how to enjoy and care for this place.
It was a tough climb, but the reward was worth it.
Thank you April and Chris!
