Lax Kxeen Elementary students teach the teacher - weaving with cedar

Here is a video of grade 3 students at Lax Kxeen Elementary working with Cedar Weaving Aboriginal Role Model Fanny Nelson from a coupe of months ago. Fanny brought her expertise on weaving with cedar to share with the students but was also eager to learn from the students about the weaving pattern and algorithm they had been studying in math class that resulted in a visual growing pattern. The students do a fantastic job of explaining to Fanny how it is done! See below some of the finished products.
