The 22nd Annual First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) Conference, held at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver, on November 25th and 26th, gave us all perspective on where we are in the province in terms of Aboriginal voice, worldview and perspective in the classroom. Being amongst passionate educators gave us hope that our future is bright but the fact still remains that we have a long way to go. These sentiments were seconded by the keynotes, Jody Wilson-Raybould and Glen Hansman, who spoke to the large crowd of BC educators.
Tina, Tannis and James were even able to squeeze in a selfie with Jody Wilson- Raybould, the first ever Aboriginal Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada.
