Cedar Weaving And Math

The grade 3 and 4 students in Mike McDowall and Bea Skog's classes at Roosevelt Elementary have been learning about growing patterns in math by replicating the patterns found in cedar weaving. They are looking forward to weaving their own patterns with Cedar later this week.

Update! The Grade 3 and 4 students at Roosevelt were very excited to try try their own cedar weaving with role model Fanny Nelson. The students worked together with Ms. Nelson's help to create a cedar placemat. Each student had the opportunity to weave part of the mat.
